Wilkies Fashion Chain

SCOTTISH FASHION CHAIN INVESTS TO IMPROVE EFFICIENCY

By using the full versatility of the Futura retail management system, Wilkies' head office staff will be able to focus on data analysis rather than data entry. Douglas Wilkie, Managing Director of the Wilkies Group New touch screen technology will also save time by simplifying stock transfers, as this can be undertaken at the till instead of via head office. This is a "massive improvement - by having the merchandise in the right branch we can now move fashion items more freely to maximise margins," added Douglas Wilkie.

Wilkie continued: "I wanted a tried and tested, integrated system with the resources and back up to deliver fast support and a very high standard of customer service covering everything from touch screens tills to the back office server. With Futura I am looking to increase efficiencies by using the 'open to buy', 'electronic goods in' and 'rolling stock take' facilities to relieve pressure at the end of January."

Wilkes undertook a 12 month long review to examine the future functionality it required and to find a strong solution that would integrate with Cenpac and provide scope for flexible development.
